Dress - Girl with a Pearl Earring

$35.00 USD

This digital garment features Vermeer’s most famous painting Girl with a Pearl Earring (c.1665), also called the “Dutch Mona Lisa”. The comparison to Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa makes sense: both paintings share an air of mystery, from the model’s enigmatic gaze to the speculations surrounding the identities of the women in the paintings. Some have suggested that a girl in the painting is Vermeer’s eldest daughter Maria, however there is no compelling evidence to confirm this assertion.

Material: digital cotton.

Digital clothes fit all sizes.

THIS IS A DIGITAL ITEM, IT ONLY EXISTS DIGITALLY AND WILL BE APPLIED TO YOUR PHOTO(s).

About the artist:

Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675) is one of the most celebrated Dutch XVII century masters. The son of a silk worker who bought and sold art, Vermeer lived and worked in Delft (Netherlands) all his life. Vermeer’s paintings are meticulous compositions of interiors featuring one or two figures, usually women. These are intimate genre paintings in which the subject is engaged in some everyday activity, usually in the light of a nearby window.
